DCH Parkrun Takeover

Saturday 6th June 2026 | What an incredible morning! On the anniversary of D-Day we saw DCH taking over the organisation of Durham parkrun! 630 runners took the start at Maiden Castle along with 36 of our own athletes (though there may have been more) – and what a welcome they got!

 

The club was able to supply over 50 volunteers – pacing runners to a goal time, marshalling the course, managing the funnel and scanning barcodes at the finish line. The event wrapped up with cake, great chat and plenty of new faces asking about joining the club.
