Junior Training

Our long-standing and ever-popular Junior section is organised as follows:

Junior Eagles (8-12 years)

Fun, track-based sessions interspersed with occasional jumps and throws. Some athletes in this group compete in North East Harrier League (NEHL) cross country fixtures and internal club races. 

Junior Hawks & Middle Distance Group (12–17 years)

Typically, track and trail-based activities. Many athletes belonging to these groups compete in both North East Harrier League (NEHL) cross-country and North East Youth Development League (NEYDL) track & field competitions.

Multi-Skills Group (12–17 years)

Track-based sessions involving a range of often technical activities including specialist hurdling and/or jumping activities together with basic running disciplines. Most athletes belonging to this group compete in both North East Harrier League (NEHL) cross-country and North East Youth Development League (NEYDL) track & field competitions.

Sprint Group (12-17 years)

A track-based, specialist sprint group focusing primarily on short sprint technique and skills. All athletes from this group compete in both the North East Youth Development League (NEYDL) and North East Counties Athletics Association (NECAA) track and field competitions.
