In the Annual North East Masters AA Track & Field Championships at Jarrow, Durham City Harriers Veteran athletes enjoyed an excellent afternoon of competition and they all won medals in their respective age categories. Just to single out three  of those competitors who really did well were , Jacqui Hodgson (v/50), who recorded an excellent sprint-winning double in the 200m and 400m with Championship Best Performance times in both events, Paul Donaghy (v/50) with a fine sprint-winning  treble victory, and  multi eventer Cliff Featherstone (v/65)  coming back into the Sport and performing some of the events he did over 40 years ago, entering 7 this time and winning a variety of Medals in all his events. Paul Donaghy (v/50) 100m 1st 12.9, 200m 1st 26.9, 400m 1st 72.0. Jason Catterall (v/45) 400m 1st 58.7, 800m 2nd 2.17.8. Christine Woods (v/60) 1500m 2nd 6.55.6, 5000m 3rd 24.21.4. Alastair McCall (v/55) 5000m 2nd 19.45.1, 800m 4th 2.29.9, 1500m 6th 5.12.0.

    Incorporated in this event was the Open Mile (M & F) with one of our Senior athletes Rob Everson finishing 3rd in a personal best time of 4.48.4.
