In the BMC (British Milers Club) Regional Series (800m) at Chester-le-Street, three of the Club's athletes managed to achieve personal best times, with young Adam Ord 
(u/17) finally getting under the 2 minute barrier for the first time, having been close to doing so in the past. He was therefore absolutely delighted to record a personal best in an excellent time of 1.58.87, was the fastest City Harrier on the night, and ran in Race C. Full results of all the other City athletes in their various individual Races in which they ran were as follows:

In this years famous Blaydon Race (over 5.9 miles) which starts from (Newcastle) and finishes in (Blaydon) is steeped in local tradition and has been going since 1981 always on the 9th June.  Durham had an excellent turnout again this year with 20 runners finishing, the results of which were as follows showing their 'chip times': 

First counter for the Club was Anthony Hunt (M40/49) in  33.27, followed by Matt Walker (M19/39) 34.02, Andy Biggs (M40/49) 39.33, Steven Martin (M40/49) 39.31, Simon Hackett (M50/59) 40.04, Jonathan Urwin (M19/39) 40.04, David Coxon (M/40/49) 41.58, Diane Wood (F45/54) 44.17, Tony McNeil (M50/59) 45.17, Nicola Whyte (F35/44) 43.35, Paul Ginsburg (M19/39) 45.22, Jill Humble (F35/44) 52.14, Victoria Coxon (F35/44) 52.31, Fiona Holloway (F35/44) 53.21, Gordon Hull (M60+) 58.17, Karen Jones (F45/54) 57.15, Jacqui Toase (F35/44) 58.38, Paula Wear (F35/44) 63.20, Wendy Urwin (F35/44) 70.08, and Lindsey Brooks (F45/54) 77.40.
