In the British Masters Athletic Federation 10,000m Track Championships held at Jarrow, Joasia Zakrzewski (o/40) ran an excellent race to finish 1st overall in the mixed Veterans age group race for women (o/35+) and men (o/65+) , Joasia won by 21 secs recording a personal best time of 37.13.60 to win Gold. Kelly Bentley (o/50) also ran well to finish 14th overall recording a time of 45.38.18 pb. In the Mens (o/50-o/60 Race, Stephen Everett (o/55) also had a very good run to finish 3rd overall, also recording a personal best time of 37.05.05 to win Bronze.

At the Northern Athletics Road Relay Championships, Sport City , Manchester, the Harriers entered 3 Teams : u/15 Boys, u/17 Men, and Senior Men, and all performed well on the day against strong opposition, results of which were as follows:

u/15 Boys (3x3k)
Sam Gibson (5th) 11.03 (10th fastest of all legs), Adam Ord (1st) 11.08, Izaak Taylor (6th)

Robin Linten 38th 21.21, Jonny Wilkinson 37th 21.42, Rob Everson 35th 21.51, Michael Grimes 34th 22.33,
Michael Wade 30th 22.22, Joseph Grehan-Bradley 29th 22.15, (overall time 2.12.04), and, although on the day the Team finished 29th out of 112 Teams, officially we have now moved up to 25th, due to other teams being disqualified, which now guarantees  us automatic qualification (1st 25 ‘A’ Teams) into the National Autumn Road Relays at Sutton Park, Birmingham , Saturday 7th October, on the big stage!
