Transition Group

If you’ve completed Couch to 5K or can run 5K without stopping, but feel unsure about what comes next, our Transition Group is the perfect place to continue your journey.  Whether you’re aiming for longer distances, faster times, or just want to keep running socially, we’ve got you covered. Some members have gone on to complete 10Ks, half marathons, and even full marathons – while others focus on improving their 5K personal bests. Everyone’s goals are respected, and sessions are tailored to suit all levels.

Why join the Transition Group?

  1. A welcoming, social atmosphere with no pressure
  2. Supportive coaching from the same team behind C25K
  3. Training sessions designed for varied abilities and goals
  4. Opportunities to progress further or represent the club in races – if you wish
  5. A safe space for those coming directly into this group, who’ve felt intimidated at the thought of joining a running club previously

Many of our members were non-runners not long ago, so they understand what it’s like to start out. That’s why new members are always met with encouragement and support.  The group meets every Tuesday, and members are also welcome to join selected Senior Endurance track sessions, with guidance from our coaching team, to get extra weekly sessions in.

If you want to keep progressing – this is your next step.  We’ll help you build confidence, set new goals, and enjoy every mile of the journey – don’t just take our word for it, here’s what our members say:
