How to Join

ALL prospective members (Senior and Junior) should first email the Membership Secretary. We offer up to 3 free taster sessions before we ask that you join the club as a full member.

Senior Membership

Senior members are 18 years and over. ALL enquiries regarding Senior membership should be directed to the Membership Secretary.

Junior Membership

Junior members are from 8 to 17 years. On application, Junior members will need to complete TWO consent forms. For all Junior Membership enquiries, contact the Junior Membership Secretary.

If your son/daughter has a medical condition that Durham City Harriers needs to know about, you must talk to the relevant coach on your son/daughter’s first visit informing them of the necessary information. You also need to put the same information on the ‘Medical Condition of Young Athletes’ form when you fill out the membership forms. If they change groups please inform the new coach of the medical condition. Although the new coach will receive the medical form, we ask you to always talk to them in person as there may be a time delay before the medical form reaches him/her.

Changing Clubs

If you wish to join Durham as your first claim club you should use the online process at England Athletics.

Club Policies & Codes of Conduct

ALL new members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the Club Policies & Codes of Conduct. Members should read and abide by those codes of conduct that apply to their role within the club. There is a separate code of conduct for senior athletes, junior athletes, coaches, parents and carers and officials.
