Veteran athlete Jason Catterall ( v/45 )  made the long journey down to London to compete in the very popular Westminster (Road) Mile and was delighted to set a new personal best of 5.23. Jason was 70th overall out of 153 finishers and 15th in his age category. Just over a week later he travelled down to Sport City,  Manchester, to compete in the Joe Moran Memorial Veterans Open Meeting and finished 4th in the 400m (1st v/45) in 59.2, then ran the 800m and finished 2nd overall and (2nd v/45).

In the the British Milers Club Regional Series (1500m) held at Chester-le-St in blustery conditions times were as follows: Cameron Thomas (u/20) 4.20.89, Tom Rutherford (u/20) 4.23.69pb, Rob Everson (Snr) 4.32.79, Sam Terry (u/15) 4.37.32pb.

At the Annual Clive Cookson (10k) Whitley Bay , Diane Wood was the Club’s only representative and finished 3rd Veteran (v/50) recording a time of 49.14.

Diane Wood was also our leading runner in the Wynyard 10k (Trail Race) Stockton -on Tees finishing 74th overall (2nd Veteran (v/ 50), in a time of 51.17, followed by Chaudrakant Patel (v/40) 129th in 57.58pb, and Kakinder Sidhu (v/40) 159th in 61.23pb.

In the North East Masters AA Track & Field League at Jarrow (Match 2), results were as follows: Paul Donaghy (v/50) 200m 27.9, Alastair McCall (v/50)  800m 2.38.7, 1500m 5.23.2, Christine Woods (v/60) 1500m 7.09.6, Cliff Featherstone (v/65) Long Jump 3.96m , Discus 23.96m, Brian Brown (v/70) 800m 3.53.7, 1500m 7.29.1, Shot  6.26m.

Katie Palethorpe was our only runner in the Northumberland 10k at Bamburgh and finished in a time of 60.44.

At the Raby Castle 10k (Staindrop) , results were as follows: John Richardson (v/55) 44th 46.40, Chris Anderson (v/40) 76th 49.39, Bob Hewitson (v/60) 81st 50.34, Femke Nauschutz (v/45) 199th 62.29.
