In the 113th Annual North East Counties Cross Country Championships at Wrekenton, Gateshead, the City Harriers Teams featured prominently in many of the days races.

The unluckiest individual and team were in the Senior Men's Race with the ever consistent Dan Jenkin in a Bronze medal position for much of the race, but just losing out in the run-in to finish 4th. It was touch-and-go as to who had won the team event - Durham had their 6 runners in ahead of Morpeth, but on count back Morpeth edged it narrowly by 10 points. Durham in their history have never won the Trophy, but Silver medals were still an excellent achievement.

Earlier in the day the u/13 Girls led by the in form Charlotte Dillon won an excellent Bronze medal and spearheaded the team to Silver medals whilst in the u/13 Boys Sam Terry again ran well to finish 5th and he also led the team to Silver.

Luke Pickering was the first scorer for the Club in the Men's u/20 Race finishing 7th to help the team win Bronze medals.
