Dan Jenkin finished a highly placed 16th in the Quayside 5k (Elite Race) at Gateshead, finishing in a good time of 15.59, not far behind was Matt Hornsby 23rd in 16.15 2nd Veteran (v/35), followed by Scott Armstrong 55th in 17.11 who was 4th (u/20), with Matt Walker (v/35) 110thin 18.20. (205 finishers). Meanwhile in the 5k (Mass Open Race) Jason Catterall had a very good run finishing 11th in a fine time of 19.48 and was 1st Veteran (v/35), he was followed by Shaun Day 45th (v/50) 20.37, with Alan Rowell 157th in 22.52, who was 2nd (v/70). (489 finishers).

Just 2 weeks later, in the Watergate 5k (Gateshead), which incorporated the NE Masters (Veterans) Championships, the in-form Stephen Everett was 20th overall in a very good time of 17.34 and was 1st Master (v/55), Derek McGirl was 27th in 17.59 and 1st Master (v/50) with yet another fine time, with Jason Catterall  69th in 19.44 just beating his previous 5k by 4 secs , 5th Master (v/45).

In the Farringdon XC Relays (4x 1.8 miles) Durham's Senior Men's Team finished a very creditable 3rd Team, behind Morpeth A and Sunderland Harriers A. Jonny Wilkinson on 1st Leg was 12th in 9.59, followed by Ben Horsfield (u/17) 8th in 10.21, then Rob Everson 4th in 9.55, with Luke Pickering (u/20) bringing the Team home for Bronze in 9.22 an excellent result. Meanwhile, in the Veteran Men's Relay, Stephen Everett (v/55)  produced another fine performance on the 1st leg recording 10.04, followed by Jason Catterall (v/45) 11.02, Sim Horsfield (v/50) 13.30, and Brian Brown (v/70) 16.45, the Team finished 18th. In the (u/17) Women's Race, Laura  Cookson finished 12th in 15.09 and Laura Hopper 13th in 15.51.
