No problems for Dan in this fine victory over adversity!
In the penultimate North Eastern Harrier League XC fixture of the season at Thornley Hall Farm, near Peterlee, where weather conditions were atrocious and the course became a quagmire and temperatures dropped as the wind gathered into the afternoon, it was certainly not for the faint hearted. However, it did not deter Dan Jenkin as he had a brilliant run in the Senior Men’s Race. Off a 5 minute handicap, he tore through the field
of almost 400 runners to record a superb win. Rosie Smith slowly getting back after a lay off through injury almost did the same as Dan, and she worked her way through the field of 250 runners to finished 2nd in the Senior Women’s Race off a 3 minute 20 sec handicap. In the in-form Junior Section of the Club, there were again more excellent runs that need a special mention, notably u/17’s Michael Wade & Luke Pickering, and  u/13 Girl Erin Keeler-Clarke, who managed to get into the first three places, whilst others backed up their team-mates to ensure of Team honours where possible.
