Junior athletes of all ages took part in a Sportshall Athletics competition last Thursday (5th Jan) in the main sports hall at the Graham Sports Centre. Athletes competed in six different events (standing long jump, speed bounce, vertical jump, shot put, standing triple jump and a run) and points were awarded for each event. The overall results can be downloaded here. The results will be used to select a team for a County Durham inter-club Sportshall Athletics event on Sunday 5th February. Details will be posted here when a venue is finalised. A big thanks to all the coaches and parents or carers who helped to register athletes, officiate and make the whole event run very smoothly.
