The 2016 National cross country championships took place at Donington Park and saw a small number of Durham City athletes compete. The first race of the day was the U17 Women. Lizzie Cramb was our only runner in this event. Lizzie finished in a strong 149th within her target for the race. Durham’s other juniors were the Wraith brothers in the U13 race. Both had strong runs and finished within a few places of each other. Thomas finished 137th and Joshua 150th. In the senior events Kirsty Walker was Durham’s sole runner in the Senior Women finishing strongly in 340th.In the senior men’s race Dan Jenkin had a very strong run to finish 50th. Jonny Wilkinson had a great run to come in 2nd counter in 228th followed by Robin Linten (269th), Rob Eaton (366th), Andy Graham (505th) and Geoff Watson (1602th). Chris Walker unfortunately had to drop out due to illness. The senior men finished 37th team. Thank you to all who ran and supported!
