Harriers strike Gold at Northern Track and Field u17/u15/u13 Championships.
Three DCH and AC athletes became Northern Champions at Middlesbrough on Saturday and Sunday 15/16th August 2015
Tia Anderson did the sprint double in winning the 100 and 200 u13 Girls events, recording personal best for both of 13.01 and 27.03 seconds respectively. This was an impressive performance especially considering she had to run 4 races on the same day to take the titles.
Adam Ord won the u13 boys 800 metres in a time of 2.15.36, taking the title by out sprinting his rivals in the home straight.
Joseph Downing won the u15 Boys Triple Jump with his last jump of the competition significantly improving his personal best with a leap of 11.09 metres.
There were many excellent performances from the total of eight DCH athletes who attended the championships with a number recording personal bests, details of which will follow in Bryan’s report.
