If you’re a distance runner of any standard and would like to know a bit more about how to put together an efficient training plan to maximise your potential (and the latest scientific thinking behind it), then do come along to the following talk and question/answer session led by Phil Hayes, Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology at Northumbria University. Outside work Phil is a UK Athletics Level 4 middle-distance running coach who has worked with GB U23, U20, U18 runners, and also Inter-Counties and British Universities medallists. He has been UK Athletics Regional Coach for Endurance Events. Phil is one of the few BASES Accredited Physiologists and Level 4 coaches in the UK.

Talk/Question+Answer session ‘Training for Endurance Runners – a scientific approach’
Date: Wednesday 21st January at 7pm
Place: Kenworthy Hall, St Marys College Durham DH1 3LR

No charge – but if you’d like to come along then can you please let Gary know as soon as possible by email/message/or in person. It really helps to have an idea of numbers so I can let Phil and St Marys College know how many to expect. It’d be really great to get a good turn out. Many thanks.
