We are pleased to invite Durham City Harriers club members to our NEW clamber race on 23rd July 2014 , 7pm .The NEW race route is a challenging but stunning trail taking in the wicker man and women structures, races across meadows, along the banks of the river Browney before heading back through Houghal woods. Only 100 metres is now on a short stretch of farm road. Those that have taken part in the old race will be pleased to know we have retained the dip under the fallen tree towards the end of the race.
The race will be fully marked and marshalled.
The distance is approximately 5.2 miles. A free buffet at the Court Inn is included in the race price of £10-00 .(buy your own drinks !).
Free parking and (limited )changing facilities are is available at Maiden Castle sports centre. (Please care share if possible )
Unfortunately due to parking and pub capacity the race limit is only 150 runners and we would like many clubs to take part so at this time we have 10 places for Durham City Harriers members. Should other clubs not take up their places we maybe able to offer more.
