2012 Summer Athletics Festival

County Durham Athletics Network is a network of six athletics clubs - Chester-le-Street & District AC, Crook & District AC, Derwentside AC, Durham City Harriers & AC, Durham University Athletics & XC Club and Sedgefield Harriers - who are working together to develop athletics in County Durham.
All Network club members under 15 years of age on 31st August 2012 are invited to take part in this year’s Summer Athletics Festival. The event is a “Quadkids” competition in which all competitors will compete in four separate events – a sprint, a longer run (600m or 800m depending on age), a “Howler” throw (a soft javelin) and a long jump. Registration is from 6.00pm and the first event will take place starting at 6.30pm. The event is free to enter and is a team competition between athletes from Chester-le-Street & District AC, Derwentside AC, Durham City Harriers & AC and Sedgefield Harriers.
