All,

Sedgefield Harriers are keen to organise a Network (Ch-le-St vs Derwentside vs DCH vs Sedgefield) 5k and 3k competition in a midweek Wed in August. They would like to know if there is any interest. Events would be sen/vet mens 5k, sen/vet womens 5k, u17 men's 3k and u17 women's 3k. Aim is to encourage road/cross country runners onto the track to try it out in a fun competition. There would be an overall team competition with points for each event.

Any interest?

Regards

To all our Athletes.
The 2010 outdoor athletics will soon be upon us. So below are the dates of the league matches that DCH & AC have entered for the 2010 season and we want to put out the strongest teams possible. You will note that only the first 2 out of 4 National young athletes league dates are currently shown, so the 2 missing dates will be given to your coaches once the host clubs have confirmed arrangements.
As a coach and committee member, it is seeing our club and its athletes doing well in events, including the leagues, that helps keep motivation going, it is very frustrating when the club struggles because we cannot put out complete teams and we have athletes covering multiple events at matches. Just look how crowded the track is on training evenings, we have enough numbers and talent to challenge for league promotion, so the club needs your commitment to these leagues.

North of England Senior League (u17 and u20 athletes can also compete in this league)
Saturday 1st May, Saturday 5th June, Sunday 4th July, Saturday 31st July.

National Young Athletes League (North east area)
Saturday 2nd May, Sunday 16th May.

Please speak to clubs coaches and give your support to these leagues, then our team managers can plan for what we hope will be a great season.
Thanks
