Luke Pickering (u/20) was delighted to win his Silver Medal in the Northern Athletics u/17, u/20, and Senior (Indoor) T & F Championships in Sheffield , it was in the 3000m when he recorded a time of 9.28.47 to clinch his first Medal in these Championships. Last years 1500m (u/17) Champion Cameron Thomas moved up into his new (u/20) age category and ran very well just missing out on a podium finish finishing 4th in a personal best time of 4.13.79 in the 1500m Final. Ben Horsfield also had a very good run in the (u/20) 800m, posting a fine time of 2.00.75 in his heat but just missed out on the Final. Charlotte Richardson (u/17) ran very well in the 60m recording 8.04 in her heat and progressed to the semis where she recorded 8.06. Charlotte also competed in the 200m recording 25.96 in her heat and again progressed to the semis where she recorded 26.23, but unfortunately missed out on the Finals.

In the Sale Harriers Open (Indoor) Series at Sportcity, Manchester, Matthew Douthwaite (u/20) recorded a 23.33 pb in the 200m, whilst Travis Anderson (u/15) recorded 25.80, with his sister Tia Anderson (u/17) recording 26.16, and teammate Lauren Etchells (u/17) recording 27.74.

This years Cathedral Relays were hosted by Birtley AC at short notice, as Durham were unable to do so which possibly reflected on the low turnout from the Club, however, it is hoped that the venue will be back to normal. Results of the City Teams were as follows: Senior Men A Team : Scott Armstrong (u/20) (8th) 9.54, Rob Everson (7th) 10.12, Jonny Wilkinson (9th) 10.53, (Overall Time 30.59….Team 9th) . Senior Men B TeamĀ  (Incomplete) : Pranav Anand (u/20) (20th) 11.40, Moses Hung (u/17) (15th) 11.27. Masters Race : Simon Gardner (17th) 12.27, Alastair McCall (19th) 12.50, Jason Catterall (19th) 12.32 (Overall Time 37.49…Team 19th (6th Fastest Masters V/45 Team).

In the British Milers Club (Indoor Series ) 1500m held at Sheffield, Cameron Thomas improved on his personal best by recording 4.11.06, whilst Pranav Anand recorded 4.56.36 to record his best time.

At the Annual Saltwell 10k Road Race in December (not previously reported on), Dan Jenkin was the first counter for the Club finishing a very respectable 6th place in a good time of 33.04, followed by Rory Woods 34th 36.39, Matt Walker 55th 38.52, Jason Catterall (v/45) 111th 42.23, Christine Woods (v/60) 308th 52.26, and Brian Brown
(V/70) 391st 57.51.
