Robin Linten was highly delighted to win his first medal in the N. E. Championships with an excellent run in the Senior Men's 10,000m (25 tough laps of the  track) at Jarrow securing Bronze. His time of 33.10.50 was also a personal best time, an improvement of over 40s, a fine achievement. Matt Guilder finished 15th in the race also recording a personal best time of 38.36.67, again a pleasing result. The 10,000m event is held in advance of NE Track & Field Championships which are to be held this year at Middlesbrough Sports Village on 12th/13th May (online entries close 28th April), The Senior Men's Steeplechase is on 15th May at Darlington.

There was also a North East Grand Prix held at Jarrow after the 10,000m and the Club had a four athletes taking part, all of whom set personal bests. The results were as follows:

Field : Isabell Thornton (u/20) Long Jump 4.53m. Augustine Ihm (S/M) Discus 24.51m and Shot Putt 9.12m.

At the North Yorkshire & South Durham League at Darlington, Harry Rose (u/13) recorded a personal best time of 5.47.7, with veteran Jason Catterall (v/45) recording 4.53.8, only 1 sec short of his personal best time.

Robin wins Bronze in NE 10,000m Championships
