In the first Harrier League XC Races of the Season held at Wrekenton, Low Fell, Durham had a very good turnout and were well represented in most of the afternoon’s races. The Senior Men’s Team with the first 6 runners scoring must count themselves very unlucky as they were pipped at the post by Morpeth Harriers on count back as both finished on 101 points, the Team counters in this Race was a mixture of 4 Seniors, an u/20, and a veteran o/55. Full results of our Club runners were as follows, showing actual times under the handicap system:
Senior Men;  3rd Michael Wade 33.11 (2nd fastest time u/20), 4th Francisco Martinez-Sevilla 33.38, 18th David Cross 35.07, 24th Dan Jenkin 30.52 (3rd fastest time overall), 71st Robin Linten 32.45, 79th Rob Hand (o/55) 37.44.(2nd Team 101 points). Other runners to finish were as follows; 83rd Rob Everson 33.10, 182nd Dave King (o/50) 39.48, 204th Steve Everett (o/55) 35.29, 287th Elliott Makin (o/40) 41.42, 390th Shaun Day (o/50) 44.38, 411th Bob Hewitson (o/55) 45.16, 429th Tony McNeil (o/50) 45.38, 432nd Kit Erlebach (o/45) 45.45, 499th Geoff Watson (o/40) 48.30.(583 finishers).

In the annual Middlesbrough Tees Pride 10k , Joasia Zakrzewski (o/40) had another outstanding run finishing  49th overall, 3rd Lady and 1st Veteran, recording a very good time of 37.00, with Shaun Day (o/50) 317th 44.44, Diane Wood 4th (o/50) 597th 49.14, Michelle Meakins (o/40) 1697th 59.39 (2638 finishers).

At the British Masters 10,000m Championships at Jarrow,  Kelly Bentley was 14th overall , but did win a Silver Medal as she was 2nd (o/50) in her age category, which was not reported on previously.
