Junior athletes of primary school age took part in a Sportshall Athletics competition on Tuesday 10th January at the Abbey Leisure Centre, Pity Me. Athletes competed in five different events (standing long jump, speed bounce, vertical jump, chest push and a run) and points were awarded for each event. The overall results can be downloaded here. The results will be used to select a team of 6 girls and 6 boys for a County Durham inter-club primary age Sportshall Athletics event on Sunday 22nd January at Sedgefield Community College from 10.15am to 12.45pm. An invitation to compete will be e-mailed to parents or carers of selected athletes. A big thanks to all the coaches and parents or carers who helped to register athletes, officiate and make the whole event run very smoothly.
