In the Watergate 5k which incorporated the North East Masters AA Championships at Gateshead, the Club had 2 Veteran runners taking part and both did really well by winning their respective age titles. Stephen Everett finished 15th overall and was 1st Male (over 55) in a time of 17.52, whilst Kirstin Farquhar was 76th and 1st Female (over 45) in a time of 21.08.
Meanwhile, in the Ray Harrison Memorial 10k at Billingham, James Askew had a fine run finishing 3rd in a time of 34.29, with Laura Lee 56th (1st u/20) 41.53, followed by Kim Simpson 65th 42.50, Fern Freeman 92nd 45.41, Gemma Soulsby 114th 48.08, and Joe Harker (v75) 251st 79.05
